our growing son Sebastian

Sebastian is growing daily, it seems sometimes that he's bigger in the afternoon when I get home from work than he was when I left in the morning.

This picture was taken the 20th of March...one day before Sebastian turned 2 months old!!

This is when the smiles started...

and it seems once they started we're getting lots and lots!

Night-night time...Helena loves to lie next to "brother".

what a cutie...(I'm not biased at all!!!)

tummy time on the boppy...Sebastian has rolled from his tummy to his back!

I love this boy...his smiles are so adorable!

"Brother" with his adorable grin!!!

Helena and Sebastian are on a boat!

The last weekend in April was Sebastian's first experience on the boat. (He had just turned 3 months old) The water at Lake Thurmond/Clark's Hill was still quite chilly, so Sebastian did not get in, but Helena had a blast! Sebastian has continued to be cold-blooded, very much unlike his mother, so we kept him on the boat where he was warmed by the sun.

Look at all those fat rolls!!!

Chillin' with his paci...this must have been when I was still in denial about the fact that he IS a thumb-sucker.

He is such a good baby...he just laid there peacefully playing with his hands and enjoying being outside.

Helena LOVES to drive the boat...Daddy always lets Helena have a turn driving.

She was a little hesitant about getting in the water, at first, because it was so cold.

She quickly realized how much fun it was!

Tybee Island; April 11-12, 2009

Michael decided we should get out of Augusta the weekend after Easter, so we drove to Tybee Island. It was so nice and relaxing and really not that far away. Oma, Opa, and Audrey came and stayed with us which was a nice treat.

Helena checking out the ocean, the night we arrived. We had to see the ocean before dinner. It made it a very late night...Helena actually ended up having a night terror because of her lack of nap and her late bedtime. It was NOT pleasant, as all of you mother's with children who have night terrors know.

My hearts that walk/are carried around outside of my body. Love these 3 people....could eat them up! =)

The next day, of course the girls had to get in the water...they enjoyed the little tide pools around the pillars of the pier so much! Helena and Audrey can get their daddy and Opa (respectively) to do just about anything! Those girls have those men wrapped around their pinkies!!! =)

Opa and Granddaughter

Helena, independently as usual, attempting the waves

Audrey enjoying running free on the sand!

Momma, it cold!!!!

Tomaszewski and Collins Family's Easter; April 11, 2009

We were so busy getting our old house ready for renters that we weren't able to set up a proper Easter Egg hunt for Helena. Oma graciously offered to have one at her house the week after Easter, so we headed over, all ready to find Easter Eggs!

Aunty Con Con holding Sebastian and Oma helping Helena...Audrey was sweet to let Helena borrow some of her b-day present princess high-heeled shoes!

the girls looked so cute together...Helena in pink and Audrey in purple! Helena used her Easter basket (with a butterfly on it) that MarMar gave her on her first Easter.

Oma and Opa's yard was the perfect backdrop for a great Easter Egg hunt!

Helena opening an egg...hmmm....what's in here?

Oh...it's gummy treats!

Audrey is all about all things princess...she used a princess bag (I think from her b-day) to collect her eggs.

The girls didn't really care whose basket the eggs went in...they just enjoyed finding them and putting them in a bag/basket!

It was a BEAUTIFUL day...Sebastian just hung out with Aunty ConCon and enjoyed the day's activities in an adorable outfit from Shawn and Denise.

The girls take a break to taste their spoils!

Happy 3rd Easter Audrey; happy 2nd Easter Helena; happy 1st Easter Sebastian!

Sebastian's First Road Trip to Chattanooga; April 8-10 2009

Helena, Sebastian, and I took our first road trip together, to Chattanooga, during my spring break. We went, just the 3 of us, so Michael could get some work done on the new house; however, we received good news that we had renters for our old house while we were in Chattanooga, so Michael spent the whole time working on the old house. Regardless, we enjoyed our time spent with Aunt Christy, Uncle Jessie, and AddyAnn. We even fit in some time with Amanda, Maddox, and Maggie!

Driving...such a fun (NOT) drive from Augusta to Atlanta and then from Atlanta to C-nooga with a baby who needs to be nursed every 3 hours. WE DID IT!!!

Uncle Jessie meeting Sebastian (2 months and some change) for the first time! Sebastian had already decided he is a thumb sucker by this time. As concerned as I was for his dental well-being, I finally just gave in.

Helena LOVES Addy's toys. She repossessed Addy's stroller and naked baby the entire time we were there.

Uncle Jessie pretending to love all the children sitting on his lap.

They may not be sisters but their mommies like to dress them like they are!

Watching some TV in Addy's colorful bed. Helena looks like she may have been crying, but for the life of me I cannot remember why.

Amanda and her children came over so Maggie and Sebastian could meet and Amanda and I could work out the details of their betrothal...just kidding!

Thank you, Christy, for taking pictures of the girls who never get their picture taken!

Never enough pictures of us, eh, Amanda?

Amanda and Maggie (3 months) Carlson, Cindy and Sebastian (2 months). We had our most recent babies 3 weeks, to the day, apart. It was fun to see our babies lay on the floor together and talk about all things baby.

Oma's birthday...April the 4th

Oma's birthday was a beautiful spring day...the men barbecued and Oma cooked a delicious dinner! Denise and Shawn joined us to celebrate another year of Oma's life.

Sebastian smiling, as always, with Denise!

the girls hung out on the pool table, eating tortilla chips, while we waited for the men to cook the meat

Helena and Audrey get along pretty well...their biggest challenge is sharing. They're learning, though!

Oma opened her birthday presents while we were waiting for the food to cook, also. She got a great assortment of German delictables from Denise and Shawn!!!

Denise was so sweet to take some pictures of me with my little man!

such a cutie!!! (I'm talking about Sebastian, not me)

everyone wants to love on Sebastian...he loves his Oma

Audrey and Helena helped Oma blow out her candles on her birthday cake!

Opa got some smiles from the little man

Opa got the little man to sleep, without a pacifier or being swaddled!!!

Happy birthday Oma...we wish you many more years of health and happiness and time spent with friends and family! We love you!
Michael, Cindy, Helena, and Sebastian
