Sebastian's 2nd Birthday....All Aboard!

Sebastian's 2nd birthday was a train themed party. He has been enjoying his train table for quite a while and he always gets excited when we are out and about in Augusta and come upon a train, so....deciding to have a train party was simple.

The decorating for his party started the night before, with his train cake. Thank goodness for my mother's help. I don't think I could have done it without her...Stella was not even a month old and here I was having a birthday party for Sebastian!

And the finished product!!

Happy Birthday, sweet Sebastian. You are so much fun and such a joy! Your new love for trains, airplanes, and cars has been fun to observe. You're able to identify cars that look like cars that belong to people you love (e.g. "Mom, there's Jill's car!!!"). You love to play with Helena, but can play by yourself for hours, also. Although you don't love to try new foods, you sure can put away waffles, bagels, and oatmeal. You are thoughtful...at night-night time you often will bring Helena her blankie before you go and get your own. If there is ever a time that we can't find you, you are likely sitting on your bed with your blankie sucking your thumb. You have adjusted well and quickly to being the middle child...you often will find baby Stella and give her a sweet kiss and then go right back to playing. The first color that you've been able to name is pink, which you owe to your big sister's love of pink, but blue, green, and yellow were not far behind! You love to dance, specifically shake your bootie, preferably without any clothes on. After your bath, you love to put your hoodie towel on and run into our bedroom with a loud "ROARRRRR". Sebastian Edward, your Mommy and Daddy love you more than we can ever explain. Happy, happy 2nd birthday little man!

To our sweet, sweet Helena...you have become the light of our lives in only 3 short years. You are energetic and full of fun and everyone is drawn to your enthusiasm! You say the funniest things and recognize when people are hurting and try to use humor to make them feel better. You love Sebastian and are concerned when he's not near you. You pick up on things so quickly and surprise us daily with the things you remember and have learned. Your swimming skills have really increased this summer (you can swim from the deep end to the shallow end, jump off the slide, and jump off of the diving board--all without floaties) and we are so proud of or little fishy. Your fondness for "tutus" and picking out special shoes is endearing and I hope I never forget. We love how you break into song ("What's going to work? TEAMWORK!) at appropriate times and your are such a big helper to us. Your enjoyment doing everyday tasks, like making meals or cleaning, is just as great as doing extraordinary things, like going on Fanacations, going to the park, or jumping on the trampoline at Daddy's office. Helena Claire Elise Tomaszewski...we love you more than you'll ever know! Happy 3rd birthday, sweet pea!
