I am so fortunate to live so very close to my Oma, Opa, Aunty Can-Can, Aunty Con-Con, and my cousin Audrey! Here are some pictures from a typical day of visiting with my family...
We love to swim in Oma and Opa's beautiful pool. Opa is good at throwing me up in the air and I love it!!
Fortunately, Opa is also very good at catching me!
I love Opa!
I love to climb the stairs of the pool, in fact, they are the first stairs that I ever climbed. Sometimes Daddy catches me and gives me a hug. (ok...I admit it...Daddy does this a lot!)
I told you this was a typical day...Mommy loves to get in the pictures. Aunty Con-Con and Mommy are smiling so brightly because they love to eat (and were eating) Nutella!
Oma and Daddy usually talk about very important things...I just listen very carefully and smile at Oma.
Aunty Con-Con helps me learn some dancing moves.
Audrey gives really great hugs. She also likes to help me find my eyes, nose, and mouth!
Aunty Can-Can and Audrey helped me get into Audrey's dolly stroller; Audrey took me for a ride. Mommy, Daddy, Oma, Opa, and my Aunties thought it was very cute!!
It was a nail-biter!!!
Thanks for stopping by to keep track of what I've been up to!!

I'm 1!!!
Yesterday, August 31st, was the day of my first birthday party, and boy was it fun! The weather was nice and warm and Opa and Oma's pool was the perfect temperature to cool off! Lots of people came to play with me and help me eat cake, for the first time. I loved having Aunty Candice, Audrey, Aunty Constance, Oma, Opa, Aunty Christy, Uncle Jessie, AddyAnn, Annie, Alan, Denise, Shawn, Erica, Todd, Stacy, Tessa, Reed, Mommy, and Daddy there to help me celebrate!
Mommy decorated with butterflies...and everthing was so beautiful.
my 1st birthday girl plates, cups, and napkins
my babysitter, Denise, brought me a beautiful butterfly balloon
my butterfly pinata
my 1st birthday paper lanterns
my purple butterfly cake that my Aunty Christy decorated
my pink butterfly cake that my Mommy decorated
I even got to dress up like a butterfly, with wings and a butterfly princess wand! (don't let this picture fool you, though...I'm standing, but I'm not walking on my own yet!)
Ok...now for some pictures from the party:
Daddy and I were the first ones in the pool
Daddy's friend, Todd, and his kids, Tessa and Reed, got in with us
so did Mommy...we're so happy all together!
I'm SO BIG!!! Next it was pinata time!! The pinata was a ribbon-pull pinata--there were lots of ribbons that everyone could pull, but only 1 special ribbon that would pull out the bottom so all the goodies would fall out. Reed was the first one to pull a ribbon, and don't you know, he found the special ribbon! Mommy stuffed the pinata with raisins, teddy grahams, sugar-free lifesavers, and sugar-free gum. It was the healthiest pinata ever!
After the pinata it was cake time.
First, I changed into my cake-eating outfit.
Then everyone sang Happy Birthday to me. I'm so glad Mommy had sunglasses on, because her eyes got really wet and she wasn't singing very loudly at the end. I think she was crying.
While Mommy cut the cake I played with my butterfly princess wand.
then...the much anticipated moment...my first taste of cake!!!
i was really much more interested in playing with it, than eating it!
Daddy made sure I actually got some in my mouth
After the cake-eating fun was complete, Daddy and Opa hosed me off. Next, Mommy helped me open my presents.
A great Cheerios book from my babysitter, Denise and her husband, Shawn. I get to put Cheerios in the book and then eat them!
my cousin, AddyAnn, was very helpful while opening the presents!
This floor mat that makes animal noises looks like a lot of fun! Thanks Annie and Alan!!!!
I want to especially thank my Aunty Erica for taking so many great pictures!
That's all folks!!! (p.s. did you count my outfit changes?)
